An Easter of Sickness

This Easter was filled with family, fun, candy, and sickness. It is definitely not one to be repeated. In Brook's family we are the only ones with little children and since everyone has, or has had, this 'junk' they all still wanted us to come and be a part of the day. So we filled them up with Motrin and away we went. It was a good thing too. Brooklyn was so disappointed from not be going to Nana's house (she is dying to see Keaton now that he smiles. It has been a month or so since we have been down) or not being able to go to church and wear her Easter dress, that getting to go to Damma's house and 'hunt' was something that helped ease the pain from the above mentioned.

We enjoyed getting to be with Brook's parents, his sister Darcy & her children, and Brook's brother Chad & his girlfriend, Rhonda. I apologize for not having pictures of everyone there, but we were doing good to even be there. The meal was wonderful and I personally enjoyed having conversation that was on an adult level. After being cooped up for the past several days, I was starting to seriously wonder if I would ever be able to talk to someone who was older than Kindergarten age again!:):)

A side note or maybe I should say an update on the sickness that has been at our house: Brook is better and returned to work on Friday, Brittan still has the cold part, but is doing rather well ( don't ask what that means. just a typical boy is what my mom calls it!), Valerie has come down with a severe cold today, but it is Brooklyn that has faired the worst! She battled the cold & cough, fever, & stomach flu all through the weekend and then woke up with a rash yesterday that covered her entire body. After yet another visit to the Dr. they have taken her off the Rx for her ear infection, thinking that perhaps her body is reacting, but it is possible that it could be something else. Poor thing has missed school all week and sounds like a fog horn blowing as she coughs literally non-stop!!!!! Needless to say, we are extremely tired of this bug and wish that he would die, hopefully to never return to our home again! Again and a few days late, Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Waiting to open their 'Easter Baskets.'

One happy boy about getting his "pack pack!"

A very pleased little girl, the Easter Bunny brought her just what she asked for.

Brittan was showing Brooklyn out the window in Damma's room where Poppa was hiding the candy.:)

Coats & hats on, my kids are ready!

Brooklyn - the diligent searcher!

Very happy to be finding candy!

The Egg Hunt was over, but Brittan was determined to find something someone might have missed. He took to lifting & looking under the rocks!

Rena is missing Book & Benton dreadfully. Although it will be short & crammed with weddings & BSU, Sunday will be fun for them.
