Today was the 'Scarecrow Fair' at Brooklyn's school. For those of you who don't know what that is, you are not alone, neither did I. This week the Kindergarten class has been studying about scarecrows, so their teacher decided to have a fun day in honor of scarecorws. 7 different stations were set up and at each station there was something fun to do that went along with the scarecrow theme. They did everything from making a craft to playing scarecrow games. The kids loved it! Mrs. Trigsted invited the 1st Graders to join in the fun and broke the kids up into little groups of either 3 or 4. Then the kids went through each station with their little group. At the end they all had Scarecrow Soup for snack, aka, vanilla & chocolate swirl ice cream. It did make the little scarecrows out front of my house seem a whole lot more necessary after spending a day at the school in their honor. Enjoy!
