Schatz Family Christmas

Continuing on with all our Christmas activities...the next event was Christmas with Brook's side of the family. Each year we rotate being with our families on Christmas Day and this was our year to be away. We celebrated with them on the Friday before Christmas. Keeping it simple was Linda's, Brook's Mom's motive and it was wonderful! We were all instructed to wear our Pj's, which I loved, and then bring finger food and desserts to snack on throughout the evening. All but Chad wore their Pj's, he said he was wearing them, but didn't want to share, so I guess we were spared some embarrassment. Now, the Schatz family open their stockings and presents all on the same evening, starting with stockings first,. Everyone just tears in and then once it is time for presents we go around and take turns starting with the youngest first. As the family continues to grow it takes longer and longer, but I think that it makes it all the more fun. The longer the better! After all the presents were opened, we played a few games together and then headed home for some much needed rest. Once again it was another wonderful Christmas together.
